Mackerel are running... have you registered at the Brooklyn Marina for this Saturday's Mackerel Tournament. Only $5 per person. Get your mackerel feathers and... fishing gear at MacPhersons Hunting & Fishing . You can fish anywhere on the bay or from the shore. Once you have the BIG ONE, bring it in to the Marina to be weighed and recorded. Join us at 4 pm at the Marina for the final weigh in. This year we are having a bonus draw, MacPherson's have donated 2 fishing rod reels (retail $70 each) for the draw. The Canteen will be open so take a break for a bite to eat. Sharon is going to have the barbecue on!!!

The last few weeks have been nothing but tragic and eye opening. I thought it very important to say something here. As the daughter to white parents, who own and operate a business which has been open in our community since the early 1900s I recognize my privilege. I speak for all of us here that we will continue learning, continue growing and continue supporting minorities that have been racially profiled and hope to aid in the end of social injustice. We fully stand against Racial injustice, we support the Black Lives Matter movement. We will do better.
