Cove Bay Water Treatment Project 2000m3 Glass Fused to steel Reservoir H2Flow’s tank crew mobilized on December 29th to the community of Bowen Island, a 20-minute ferry ride from Vancouver; moving into the Union Steamship Lodge they settled in for their stay. They began the construction of a 2,000m3 reservoir for a new community development. The reservoir is a 17m in diameter and 10.5m tall glass fused to steel bolted reservoir with a geodesic dome roof. The coastal weather... dealt the crew a wet start to the project with days of 50 to 60mm of rain and 70km/h winds. Regardless of the start of the project the weather cleared up for the crew and allowed them to complete the construction on January 18, 2021 with 20 days on site, right on schedule. H2Flow SBR (Sequencing Batch Reactors) utilizes a built on site steel bolted tank and a 5 stage process for treatment of wastewater. The first is the idle stage, waiting for the wastewater. This is followed by the fill stage, which has both anoxic and aerated cycles. The aeration stage then starts when the tank is full. The fourth stage is the settling / clarification.
