Check out these exterior shots from our Tamarack project! The landscaping and outdoor spaces create a little oasis for the homeowners to relax in while their solar panels are working overtime with plenty of sunshine these days!

Even though we might not be seeing as much sun as we are used to these days in Edmonton, solar panels are still producing some of that good ol electricity! Check out the multiple orientations on one of the latest arrays we installed:

Were pretty excited for this BIG hole currently being excavated...and that view is nothing to gawk at either!

Edmonton released some new rebate programs yesterday!

Were all quite excited to see these stairs coming together...they are going to be pretty slick when all is said and done! (and not the slippery slick)

Woohoo! We took home the award for Single Family Home Over $1.5M for our Helios project! Also snagged the environmental award for both small volume builder and multi family builder! We apologize for the lack of posts over the last month! To be completely honest with you, since COVID turned the world upside down, its been a struggle to find the energy to do something that seemed insignificant in the big picture of things. But as get used to our new normal and uncertain times, we realize that it is those small tasks or processes that have a big impact over our well-being. The sense of normality, albeit how small a job it is, plays an important role in life nowadays! With all the being said, we figured sharing a picture of one of our teams all-time favorite rooms would be a good place to start things up again. Who wouldnt want to be quarantined here?! With the CHBA Awards gala 2 days away, its time for our final showcase! Last, but not least, Helios is a finalist in both the Best Infill over 4000 sq. ft. category and the Best Single Family over $1.5M category. This home creates spaces that promote health and wellness and bring family and community together; from a relaxing sauna and fully-equipped gym to spaces made for entertaining indoors and out. Our team absolutely loved bringing this gem together!

Its time for another CHBA Award Showcase! Hygge is a finalist in both the Best Infill over 4000 sq. ft. category and the Best Single Family over $1.5M category. This home is designed to evoke the feeling of hygge, a characteristic of Danish culture that focuses on contentedness, simplicity and comfort. This serves as the backdrop for enjoying the simple moments with family and friends. : Merle Prosofsky

Our next CHBA Award showcase is Maverick. This project is a finalist in the Best Single Family $1M-$1.5M category. The home appears to not have an attached garage like the surrounding neighbours, but in reality, it does. The homes hidden attached garage is accessed through the side lane, with the front exterior design giving the illusion that it is part of the main floor living space. One of the many features that truly make this home a Maverick : Plaid Interactive

With the CHBA Awards coming up on March 14th, well showcase each of the 4 projects that have been chosen as finalists over the next couple of weeks. Up first is Berlin, a finalist in the Best Renovation $300k to $600k category. The homeowners goals for this 1958 home were to maximize usage of the existing footprint and create a contemporary, open-concept interior with natural light, while preserving the homes vaulted ceilings and exterior finishes. : Tracey Jazmin, Photographer

Introducing Petite Chteau: This 440 sq. ft. garden suite was a fun challenge to design and build as there couldnt be a square inch wasted. Were also waiting on final numbers, but its looking like we might hit NetZero on it as well!

The EnerGuide number for a home represents how much energy is used by that home in one year. We were interested to see how the air tightness of a home (exterior walls, roof, etc.) affected how much energy that home used, so we put together this little chart. To say the least, air tightness is an important factor!
