Welcome Jessica and welcome back Addie to our Family Services team! Jessica has recently joined Habitat for Humanity Saskatchewan as the Family Services Coordinator for Saskatoon and Prince Albert. She is looking forward to meeting the challenges of this diverse role with Habitat Saskatchewan! Addie is returning to from her maternity leave as our Family Services Coordinator in Regina - and we are happy to have her back!... As Family Services Coordinators, Jessica and Addie support families through all stages of our Habitat Homeownership program. They educate applicants about the program, answer questions throughout the application process and ensure they meet application requirements. During the partnership, Jessica and Addie facilitate Homeownership Education classes, preparing families for the world of homeownership. Once families move into their new homes, Jessica and Addie are there to assist with any questions or concerns they may have.

We are highlighting the locally-owned businesses that helped us with our volunteer room refresh at Habitat for Humanity Regina ReStore! Their support allowed us to provide our ReStore staff and volunteers with an inviting space to take a break during their shifts. Our administrative offices in Saskatoon, Prince Albert will be closed today, reopening on Monday morning and Regina will be closed until Tuesday morning. Stay safe and have a great long weekend!

An important part of becoming a Habitat Homeowner is attending homeownership education classes. We are lucky to have partners like The Credit Counselling Society | nomoredebts.org who help us facilitate these sessions, fostering success for future homeowners. Some of the topics covered during these education sessions are budgeting, understanding credit and ways to save on household expenses. The Credit Counselling Society also works with our partner families that are struggling with large debt sums to develop plans to help them get out of debt. Thank you to the Credit Counselling Society for the support you have given to Habitat Saskatchewan and families throughout our province.
