Some beigey brightness for Spring

Exactly one year ago today was our first day off work at the start of this pandemic. It’s been a whirlwind of a year, but only has me appreciating even more every minute I get to stand behind my chair, and all of my loyal clients. We’re coming off another 2 weeks in isolation, and will be reopening March 23rd. The next few weeks will be busy again while we catch up, but my books are open and there are some spots available (open to existing clients only for now). Loving the warmer tones trend lately, especially a good ginger!

Today we started the process of taking Erika from a vibrant red to a more neutral tone, and eventually we’d like to go more blonde. FYI: this was a 4.5 hour appointment. Colour corrections take time/patience/ and trust in your colourist and their plan. Sure I would’ve loved to get her much closer to blonde in one shot, but she had been using a colour conditioner (not one I’m very familiar with) to keep her colour vibrant during lockdown, and it proposed some difficulties. Even though I used a colour remover on her first (CPR by @malibucpro, which is amazing) Her hair wasn’t wanting to lift past an apricot/pink colour and I wasn’t willing to compromise her hair. So I settled for neutralizing as much of the warmth/unwanted tones as possible today, and next time we’ll focus on going a bit lighter.
