Hello friends, Here is my latest update: Like many other businesses, the beauty industry has been hugely impacted by Covid. The last year has not been easy, but I plan to keep trucking along, however there will be some changes. ... As of March first, I will be moving my business, Hair by Erin Curry to a new location. My new work look for the next long while.

Hi Friends, As many of you may know, Dr. Bonnie Henry has now given hair salons the okay to go back to work as of May 19th. We have just received safety guidelines from WorksafeBC. I will be returning to the salon on June 3rd to allow myself time to prepare. I will begin booking appointments this coming week, and I will be contacting those whose appointments were canceled first. ... Upon my return, things will be quite different and unfortunately some of the enjoyment of a hair service will be affected. Here is what you can expect: I now have a set schedule that will be Wednesday-Saturday afternoons. You must arrive at the salon wearing a mask. Your mask must not be removed. I cannot supply a mask for you. You must wash your hands upon arrival. No food or drink can be brought into the salon, and I cannot offer you any beverages. You must not enter the salon before the time of your appointment. You must arrive alone. Unfortunately there will be an increase in the price (approximately 10-20%) of all services until COVID-19 is essentially eradicated, to cover the additional costs of our new safety guidelines. You may not come to an appointment if you are displaying any symptoms of a respiratory illness. You will be signed in at the time of your arrival and the time that you leave. As you can see, the new Covid world looks quite different. As a hairstylist, I can’t wait to see my clients and coworkers but at the same time, this is also very stressful and overwhelming for me and my colleagues. Again, if you have been exposed to COVID-19, please do not come to your appointment. If I am exposed to COVID-19, I will have to cancel appointments and self-isolate for a minimum of 14 days. Safety protocols absolutely must be followed or salons can be fined. I hope you and your loved ones are all staying healthy and you will hear from me soon. Erin
