A little before and after on a colour correction today. Xo
A super cool shot of my studio right after the storm. This, is my happy place and I am so grateful to be able to share it with my clients. A little studio to unleash creativity, a safe place to have great conversations, and a comfortable, positive space to be yourself sit in my chair, tell me what your hair goals are, and we can solve life’s problems while I work away. #hairapy
Friday night turn up
Big changes today! As always, thank you for the trust! Xo
I often find myself saying , you should go here! Or here! So! I put together a little list of all my favourite places to go, while in Port hope. It’s such a fun town, with lots of cool things to do! Primitive Designs - This place is a must see and is very close to the studio, less than 10 minutes. It’s such a cool shopping / wondering experience. https://www.primitivedesignscanada.co... Haut Goat Farm - An adorable heart happy time, five minutes from the studio https://hautegoat.com Dreamers Cafe - The Crazy Cookie , need I say more? Downtown Port Hope, 10 minutes from studio https://www.porthopehbia.com/dreamers-cafe/ Olympus Burger - The best burgers. Period, full stop. I love the Hades burger, it’s spicy, just like my personality lol! http://olympusburger.ca The salmon Run - this is my absolute favourite thing . Every fall the salmon start their run upstream and I will stand for hours at the Ganeraska River and watch. It is about 10 mins from the studio https://www.northumberlandtourism.com//ganaraska-river.aspx The Nook - A very cute store that is made up of local artists selling their crafts . Ten minutes from my house down town Port Hope. https://thenooks.ca If you are starting your holiday shopping, I highly suggest starting at Primitive Designs, then making the 5 min drive from there to wonder all of Port Hopes little shops. Get a crazy cookie, then a burger!
Week 9 and 10 of 10 I let that slip there. So two for one special. What is the difference between highlights, baby lites, balayage and foilayage, money piece. Highlights - traditional highlights are sliced or weaved foiling from the base of the hair. Depending on your needs. It could be full head, half head or partial. Important to ask your stylist what their half/ partial / full looks like. 15 year in the industry and I find every stylist has different standards for what ...that looks like. Baby - lites - Very , very fine foiling. This would be for people that don’t want to see the highlight. Usually when done there are a lot of foils, but the look is very soft. Usually a stylist will charge more for this service as it is very time consuming and is a higher skill level to understand how the placements will fall. Balayage - Clay based lightener painted into the hair , open air. Not everyone is a good candidate for balayage. This is very advanced, and a stylist will charge more for this. A lot of education goes into this method and it can be very time consuming for the lightener to develop. The look is usually not to the root and a more lived in look. Foilayage - This is much like balayage but painted into a foil. A lot of the time this method involved back combing the hair and painting into the back comb. Often this method will look like a traditional balayage. As I stylist I prefer this method for balayage because I have more control over the lifting. Money piece - This is trend for 2020. The stylist takes very fine sections or hair purposefully around the face, traditional highlight style, moving into a foilayage as you work away from the hairline. This gives a pop of colour around the face, moving into a darker tone moving across the hair. These segments where so much fun! Thanks for coming along for the ride!
Curtain bangs, balayage, modern shag for a total babe. Thanks for the hang outs!! Xoxox *now booking port hope studio only*
