Okay a fun tiktok challenge- but with a message This lockdown has been hard on all of us, even with best efforts it can get us into a super dark place. I won’t even lie, the last week was really tough on me, and I didn’t realize I was being a negative nancy until my best friend @brimcmichael called me out on my sh!t. Sometimes we all need a reality check and a reminder to spin our moods. At the end of the day, we all have so much to be thankful for! ... Somedays it’s extremely hard to alter your mood when we can’t do so many things that bring us joy! Here’s a little list of what I find helps me alter my moods and check myself, and when these fail... find your person that will check you, for you; Simply getting ready for my day, a little makeup and doing my hair can completely spin my mood. Nature walks- I’ve recently discovered so many incredible trails around our area! Even with it being colder out, dress accordingly and go and get some fresh air! Journaling. Writing in my journal has gotten me through so many different stages and ups and downs in my life. It is an incredible routine to start, and I promise you won’t regret it! I have 3 journals; one where I jot down quotes that stick with me, one where i write down my thoughts, and another one that is a prompt journal for when I can’t seem to get any thoughts to come out of my mind! My people. My family, and my friends. Finding your group and knowing you can go to them always without judgement is so so important. Even if it’s just one person you know you can always turn to. Meditating. I just recently started practicing this, and it’s incredible. I love balancing my chakras and never understood the hype, until I tried it myself!
