Currently daydreaming about the summer wanna know why? I’ve decided to spend the summer at the @designhousesalonfernwood location! I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to spend every morning on that beautiful porch, or to have the summer breeze flowing through the open windows I’ve had a lot of clients ask if I will return to that location ( I think processing on the porch is a selling point ) so I will be there starting June 1st working Mondays, tuesdays, and Wednesdays!

This next year I have set some new goals for myself. Personally and professionally, I’m scared and excited (such a strange feeling) one thing I have planned is a few podcast collabs! Something I have never done before! I have shifted more into balayage and extensions and am excited to figure out a more efficient way of managing my days so I can hopefully take on some new clients if you feel up to it I would love to hear what your goals are for the new year. Story time So I’ve been doing hair for 14 years. Up until this year I was too scared to step out on my own, into the unknown and become independent. I have had past employers tell me you don’t have what it takes you have no idea what’s involved you can only charge what you charge because of the salon space we provide you. Those words hurt. They came from people I cared about and trusted, my intuition started speaking to me and eventually I couldn’t ignore it anymore. Wh...y is it that I felt trapped under someone else’s umbrella? I had a strong creative vision for myself, my brand, my career and yea I did things a little different than the traditional stylist. I decided raise my prices, charge hourly, invest in myself, my education and share my knowledge. I wanted to welcome other stylists into my life so we can do the opposite of what I was told. I want to inspire, build you up, and make you feel powerful in your creativity. I stepped out on my own during a pandemic, a lockdown, and set some huge goals for myself. I not only met them I exceeded them and am so incredibly proud of myself. I finally believed In me. I did the things that felt good, I trusted myself, and I had the right people In my corner. I’m sharing this with you because I feel like I want to try and share more of myself. I hope I’m able to inspire and practice vulnerability.
