A new episode of "same color, different lighting!!" featuring : yours truly!!! I can't stress enough the importance of being flexible with your hair inspo.. Not only does your stylist have to take a ton into account to customize a formula to get you as close to your hair goal as possible.. Even if your stylist nails the color and literally replicates the inspo pic.. It still won't always look the same. Lighting is A HUGE variable and your hair (makeup, skin, clothes etc..) wi...ll literally look different dependant on where you're standing, the time of day, the tone of lightbulbs, amount of natural light etc.. To take it one step further, the device you take your selfie on will affect the way you see your colour too... Different phone, different tone (it rhymes so it must be true lol). This doesn't only apply to haircolor.. I took two photos of a Fab pro conditioner and posted on @thejunctioncreativestudio page (check it out).. Both images were taken seconds apart in the same room, but one had more reflect from natural light (spoiler alert : one looks greige and one looks purple!).. Anyhow, hope this helps! We want y'all to be happy and I think it really starts with realistic expectations See more

We gave Dominica a sweet sweet subtle shag Remember folks: "a shag, a mullet, layers" etc... These words can help us get on the right track but can also mean so many things! I'll still ask a lot of questions, ask for photos, look at inspo and come up with suggestions that will suit you best.. The consult definitely doesn't end with a word.

The time has come... I attempted this switch last year, but the universe had other plans for me in Junction Land! Effective February 1st I will be doing hair behind the chair 4 days a week. My additional "day off" will generally be 3 Tuesdays a month and 1 Saturday a month. There is a ton that goes into running a business and thankfully I love all aspects of it... Truth is, I can't realistically do everything I want /need for the space when I'm also doing hair as much a...s I am. I'm very excited to carve out more time for education, training, policy and collaborating!!! The Junction has always been about being creative, doing things a bit differently and working with the community.. I'm ready to focus on the big picture and move with passion. What does this mean? My schedule might fill up a smidge quicker with less availability, so pre-booking is key if you have schedule preferences/requirements. As always, please feel free to work with one of my team members (or all of them)... I'd be happy to give you a referral if my schedule doesn't suit yours... I promise, no hard feelings and you'll be in great hands. Keep your eyes peeled for future updates and announcements.. Lots of great stuff coming your way this year! Thank you thank you thank you!!! I honestly love doing hair Soo much and I feel so fortunate to do what I do everyday! My team and my clients are top notch!!! Eventually Asher will get sick of seeing me and then I'll probably pick up some extra shifts.. Nothing is forever right ?! See more

I've shared a lot of info regarding Kristin 's hair transformation.. One important thing to note is that this is actually an "in between" phase... A step towards her ultimate goal. Whaaaaa?! Kristin is booked to come see me in March hoping for a pinky/peach fashion pastel! She reached out to me to give me the heads up and we decided it'd be best to try to tackle all of the remaining colour first as phase 1. Here's the thing: Kristin literally didn't know what color of hair she'd be leaving with after this first appointment.. And I didn't really either (see previous post about colour removing)... Thankfully she trusted the process and my discretion et voila!!! I feel like this "in between phase" is beautiful, and is 100% wearable for as long as Kristin desires
