COLOR CORRECTION SATURDAY Took this guest from bleached blonde to rich, dark and shiny all with the use of Redken Shades EQ. Of course this didn’t happen in one step. ... When going back darker more then 2 levels, a filler should always be done first with SEQ in order to add back in the underlying tones that are missing that were removed during the lightening process. COLOR CORRECTION Swipefor the before This guest came in with boxed at home highlights that were too brassy and warm.... Her desired look was balayage with a root extension. After a thorough consultation discussing her options and what would be best for the integrity of her hair. I opted for a root stretch using SEQ gloss 06ABn + 07m equal parts. I created some dimension throughout by low lighting in pieces using the same formula. Glazed over and toned the previous blonde with SEQ 3/4 08n + 1/4 09na. Always make sure to do a thorough consultation with your guests, a good consultation should be minimum 10-15 mins, especially when it comes to Color corrections. There may be different roads to take to get to your final destination but it is choosing the one that not only meets the wants of your guest but also the needs of the hair as well.
