Regardless of what today looks like, I want to take a moment to thank you for the greatest gift I could have received this year. you’ve kept my spirit alive - your trust, your patronage, your silent cheerleading (and your not-so-silent words of support and encouragement) your beautiful presents (your presence ) and the absolute joy that doing your hair brings me - you’ve given me a 2020 filled with incredible memories. And while we don’t know what the future looks li...ke, it may require some adapting and some change. I’ll never forget the year that I found absolute and total happiness in running the tiny room that is Haircraft by Cass. I would never have known what that type of happy felt like in my entire life if it weren’t for you. My dreams came true and for that, I am eternally grateful - and continually hopeful that we’ll meet again soon. So whether you celebrate - this year or not - from my little household to yours. I wish you all the same feeling that you’ve given me and more. I know this year is a really tough one, but you are so strong, and resilient, and loved and appreciated. More than anything - I’m wishing for a safer 2021 so I can tell you that in person. Happy Holidays everybody See more

My mantra for this year is simple, and it stands for everything; work, relationships, life. What’s meant to be, is mine. ... At some point, an option or opportunity is going to come along that doesn’t seem like a struggle. It will bring life and light to you instead of pain and heartache. Things will fall into place, and timing won’t be an issue. The decisions will leave you with a sense of relief - and as one client recently said to me you’ll have more answers than questions. As for the rest of it - learn and let it go. Grow, and let it go.... I think I’ll adopt that too.

- not only have us hairstylists been unfairly stripped of the ability to practice our craft and make an honest income. The biggest loss truly is that we’re unable to connect with YOU during what’s usually the most fun fun, festive and busy time. If you’re wondering how you can support the stylist that takes pride in being yours throughout the year - here are some easy, effortless ways : ... 1. - If you can, wait for your stylist. They work hard to fit you into their schedules last-minute, give you their full attention always, and provide the best service possible. It’s time to return this effort. Don’t seek out providers outside of your stylist’s region if they are shut down. Although forgivable, it’s hurtful - and your stylist will appreciate the solidarity more than you know. 2. / - If you have the means this holiday season - purchase products or gift cards from your salon. This type of support is one of the only ways to keep businesses alive during such unprecedented times, plus what better gift is there, than the gift of good hair? (And the assurance that your stylist will have a place to work once the lockdown is lifted) 3. , , . - Even if you don’t have the means to physically purchase items - it only takes moments to engage with your hair artist online. Whether it be sharing their website with friends, reposting your favourite work from their social media, or simply liking their instagram posts - trust me when I say, it’s motivating and it makes a difference. The relationship you cultivate with your stylist is unique and sacred; and whether we seem optimistic or sad during second lockdown - just know that we’re all trying our hardest to get back to work so that we can safely and positively be of service to you. feel free to and so your friends, family, and clients can support their hairdressers too (for the remainder of what’s been a very crazy 2020.) This post was supposed to be about me. But it’s not. I was going to write about my favourite things and people and places. I was going to introduce myself to new and potential clients (Hi, I’m Cass btw!) But nothing this year has gone as planned, and with the impending lockdown on Monday - I’m realizing quickly that this post is actually about you. You - have allowed me to learn in front of you. You have allowed me to grow, to be authentic and silly ; to be serious... and focused, to make mistakes and to fix them. To do what I love every. single. day as a career. You have laughed and cried in my chair, you’ve shared your journeys and you’ve celebrated your accomplishments with me. You’ve allowed me to share and celebrate mine. You’ve supported me through every step of this year - whether it’s been in-person or through referrals, kind messages, or likes and shares on social-media. All while you’ve been going through it yourselves. And over the next month - when we should be blasting Christmas music, adorned with hair foils (like tinsel) - eating way too many cookies and preparing for the holidays with our loved ones. We’ll be at home - doing our best to keep each other safe. Trying to figure out what the next steps will be in this very unprecedented time. Maybe not celebrating - but rather persevering. and I’m really, really going to miss YOU. See more
