The fight we face right now as hairstylists is our credibility and our lack of acknowledgment from our government as an essential service. We are more then just a haircut, we have been at every life event. We have been with you through the hardest and best of times. We know what makes you confident and your limitations. We have been life long friends or even friends for periods of times because you made other connections with other stylists. Hairstylists should be seen as an... essential service. We are governed under the ministry of training, a part of the government that all trades fall under. Yet we are the only ones considered non essential? We have had a clean track record, allow us to continue to prove that. It is also in humane to even offer the opportunity to restrict our hours instead of full closure. When your corporates remain open all day. There is a petition in my bio. That petition is an opportunity for hairstylists to have support showing that you feel strongly about our thoughts too.
