Some just cant help it! Be this a lesson. I just saw a commercial about a hair colour that promises to be gentle on the hair and give you a great colour. This is called advertising and marketing. Do NOT believe everything you see or hear. I got my first whoopsie phone call the other day and with the commercial I just saw I know this is just the first of many coming. ... Let me remind you that we cannot fix any whoopsies right now. We love you and youre hair. Dont mess with it, please !!!! Before on the left, boxed on the right.

Tips for covering the GREY Bright whites too noticeable? If you have more whites than youd like to admit there a few things you can do without running to the drug store for box colour.... Super dark or black colour If you can no longer hide the white hairs try adding mascara. Wash your hands thoroughly and add some mascara to you pointer finger. Smear your finger with your thumb and in a pinching motion grab a few of the most annoying hairs at a time. Pull down the strand for a temporary fix. A light application will ensure you hair doesnt become gunky but blends the sparkle. Brunettes If youre a brunette then chances are you have brown eyeshadow. Clean your brushes thoroughly and use them to cover the white hairs that just wont quit. To start, gently dab your eyeshadow brush into the shadow. In a gentle root to ends stroke apply until desired coverage is achieved. If they dont want to cover, you can add a little bit of water to your brush to increase the coverage. Blondes There are 2 types. Blondes with white roots and blondes with dark roots Blondes with dark roots can quickly look like a greasy mess. Try adding a bit of baby powder. It with not fix everything but the white will take the edge off just how dark you are. Use lightly so you dont look like you have grey roots with blonde ends. This will double as a volumizer too so WIN WIN. Blondes with white roots Get out your foundation or face powder. Obviously youre going to use the product closest to your desired hair colour. Now, this is not a perfect fix but we are just trying to take the edge off the white hairs. Using the same techniques mentioned before, start with a little and add more until you get the result you need. Redheads I would suggest starting with a brown eyeshadow using the same techniques mentioned before and adding some blush to add colour. Try this at home when you are not rushed to refine the finished look and colour. Keep all brushes and tools super clean or better yet, designate the brushes to hair applications only. Going back and forth (hair to eyes) could result in bacteria transfer and it could cause havoc for your eyes if that happens. Hope this helps get you by. Buying box colour is dangerous as it is permanent and can certainly make our job harder and your bill bigger when we get back to it. Stay tuned for more tips and tricks. Hair, Nails and Covid-19 Its hard to believe this is happening in the world right now but it is. We feel at Lines & Lustre that we too need to address this with our clients. Weve always been a little weird about germs in our salon and have strived to keep it as clean as possible for our health and yours. Now we are taking it to the next level. We will be cleaning and sanitizing before, during and after each client. We will be reducing our hours to appointment only days un...til this virus is under control. We ask that if you are not feeling your best or have the slightest feeling of something not right please stay home. If you have travelled by plane, boat or train in the last 2 weeks, please stay home. We understand and appreciate you for it. We are still taking clients of course but really want to do our part to eradicate this virus as fast as we can. If we all work together and make these small sacrifices then we CAN get in front of this.
