Christmas will be different this year, but we know being healthy is the best gift we can give each other. We wish you all a merry and joyous Christmas season!
We hope everyone enjoys a safe holiday season. Remember, it is advised not to travel unless necessary, to continue keeping the spread of COVID-19 down. Here's where you can find all the current health restrictions from the province: https://www2.gov.bc.ca//covid-19-provincial-s/restrictions
Haisla Nation Council offices will be closed tomorrow for Remembrance Day. May we all take time to reflect on the sacrifices that have been made.
Even though we operate within the Northern Health zone, our organization is stepping up our COVID-19 guidelines in light of new temporary restrictions affecting the southern Health authorities too. That means we're restricting activities in our Recreation Centre, postponing some planned events, and encouraging community members to keep to within their immediate family. Our full update on our website here: https://haisla.ca/covid-update-nov9/
There's nothing more important these days than our health and wellness. Haisla is marking National Addictions Awareness Week with a series of special events for our community, which will also be broadcast live throughout the week of November 22 to 28. Haisla, also be sure to nominate a Champion of Wellness. Details and the form for that on our website below! https://haisla.ca/wellness2020/
As always we love to highlight the great work of our members out in the working world. Here is November's Haisla Highlight, on Cyril Grant, working with the Ledcor-Haisla Limited Partnership!

In addition to the fireworks now being tonight, we have moved the events tomorrow to the Haisla Recreation Centre due to weather concerns. Everything will still follow all COVID requirements and guidelines.
We're expecting poor weather tomorrow evening, so we're moving up tomorrow's fireworks to tonight instead! The fireworks will be set off by the Haisla soccer field at 8 pm tonight.
