Out of an abundance of caution I have temporarily closed the Half Acre Café. Late morning Thursday February 18th 2021 a close contact of an employee was displaying symptoms for Coronavirus. Although the employee has not displayed any symptoms, the employee was immediately sent home and I have contacted Nova Scotia Public Health. The symptomatic individual is to be tested later today and I will await the result of this test before determining any future action. I will be following all guidelines laid out by Nova Scotia Public Health in this matter. At this time I have not been instructed to close the café, however I feel that the correct course of action is to not take any unnecessary risks. I wish to thank you for your understanding and I will re-open the café only when I feel it is safe to do so. Joey Murphy
