Heeey! it’s been a minute! Okay... it’s been 2 months...COVID-19 kicked me off the tracks. I lost my whole sense of being. My mental, and physical well-being were not well. I was in survival mode. March 15th was my official lay off day. April 14th my trainer reached out to me and said we needed to start scheduling FaceTime training because he could see I wasn’t completing my online training he was providing me. Guess what? I couldn’t even answer him. I was so ashamed of h...ow far I had sunk, and I couldn’t even think of restarting, again. I was mad. Mad at myself. Mad at the world, I couldn’t even function. The next day he texts me again. And I say, I can’t do it. He didn’t give up. He convinced me to get back up and scheduled a session for the next day. That first session sucked. But then we scheduled 3 more, and I showed up each time. I complained each time. I was not eating properly. But I kept showing up. We’ve been consistently doing 3 workouts a week for a month now. And my mental health has skyrocketed. I’m finally ready to commit to eating exactly to my macros again, to increase my workouts back up to 5 days a week and get back on track. I COULD NOT HAVE DONE THIS ON MY OWN. This is why you hire a professional. Mike is the reason I’m here today. Mike is the reason I am back out of that dark space. Mike is the reason I didn’t put 50 pounds back on like I would’ve before. It’s not a cop-out to have help in your corner. Who else is struggling with this new life? Tell me what you’re doing to keep active! And thank your trainer for kicking you in the butt!

While I was over on the side doing vertical wall jumps I peeped on my little miss doing some step ups! Normally I work out when she’s in bed, but she woke up early this morning so she got to watch! Apparently was paying attention too! I hope to teach her that exercise and healthy eating should be a part of her daily routine so that she doesn’t have to deal with the struggles I did! How are you keeping active during this pandemic? My trainer currently has me on 1-2 workouts a day, a 30-30-30 challenge and my friend Lacey challenged me to a 25km per week walking challenge! So we are pretty busy around here!
