SOGGY BOOT is cancelled After much consideration, we believe it to be in our members' and local community's best interest to cancel the Soggy Boot. This was a tough decision, sorry to disappoint. Please be safe everyone and encourage responsible riding!

The City of Kawartha Lakes has confirmed the Somerville Forest and Five Points will be open to motorized users as of today, May 12th. This is a trial opening, please practice safe and responsible riding and follow public health guidelines, or the trails will be closed to motorized users. A few new and old reminders:... - Somerville Forest - OFTR pass is required (fine for no pass is $305) - For non-residents coming into the area, please bring food and plenty of gas for physical distancing and to preserve the limited community resources - Maintain physical distancing in and around the trails and limit riding groups to 5 or less, as provincial restrictions apply - Expect a heavier presence of non-motorized users, OPP and by-law officers on the trails, please reduce speeds and be mindful of others, for everyone's safety and enjoyment. Trails are not where you want to be. Getting lost and taking unnecessary risks can put additional strain on emergency services. Stay home if you can, limit non-essential travel, practice social/physical distancing and be safe.

We have received complaints from a landowner that off road motorcycles are trespassing on KATVA trail 50 in the 5 points. This trail is all private land parcels... and trail access is for ATVs and SxS only. There are signs at both ends of the trail prohibiting motorcycles. Please stay off of this trail so that you don't jeopardize access for other trail users. See more
