Halifax Fire & Emergency Station 21

Only 29 Christmas trees left for 2020! Can’t thank our amazing community enough for the support, we are on track for a record year ! In 5 days we have sold almost 150 trees!

Tuesday night Station 21 got some practice at J&R Auto. We walked through then executed 2 MVA scenarios. First we had a partial ejection through the windshield, and then a crush injury when a car landed on our patient (named Darrell). We were able to discuss and work through these accidents without the pressure we experience on scene. Thank you to J&R Auto for setting up our scenarios and allowing us on site after hours.

Even though most people are aware, there is a province wide burn ban in effect. We expect this will remain in effect until we get rain. Check novascotia.ca/burnsafe before you burn. The map is updated daily at 2pm. Absolutely no burning before 2PM, regardless of the weather or the previous days restrictions.

Everybody please remember that there is a province wide burn ban in effect until May 15th. We're still getting calls to people burning in their yard.
