On Behalf of the Halifax Kennel Club: After learning today of the cancellation of all NS provincial exhibitions through to the end of 2020, a decision has been taken to cancel the September HKC shows and trials. With the province supporting the Exhibition Corporation's decision that there should be no gatherings of any size through to year end, it is felt that it would not be prudent to go forward with our planning. We are disappointed and were looking forward to an exciting week end with a panel of offshore judges (from South America, Europe and Ireland). It is our intention to move our plans to the fall of 2021 so we hope you will join us then to celebrate our 'new normal'.

The Halifax Kennel Club has assisted a number of community organizations in past years. In 2019, the club was pleased to support the work of Canadian Intervention Assistance Dogs in its program of promoting the professional use of dogs as a therapeutic response. Pictured is HKC secretary Lee Steeves presenting a cheque to the board of directors of CIAD.
