Halifax ComedyFest celebrates our 25th birthday in 2020! Enjoy a few HA!s from some of the incredible comedians who have joined us over the years!

It wasn't quite the party we thought we would have when 2020 began, but we celebrated Halifax ComedyFest's 25th birthday with a lot of laughter this week! Our "Bubble Festival" featured some of Canada's best comedy legends and up-and-comers, all from right here in Atlantic Canada, hosted by the amazing Mark Critch. They brought some much-needed laughter to the city, and we loved seeing them perform! And, thanks to our friends at Pilot Light Productions and CBC, you'll be able... to join the party from home when the shows air on television (don't worry ... we'll let you know when they'll be on as soon as we know!). A huge thank you to Pilot Light, CBC, Premiere Entertainment Group, City of Halifax, Government of Canada, and Government of Nova Scotia, for your support. Thanks to the team at The Seahorse Tavern and The Marquee for welcoming us to their stages. And thank you to everyone who supported the festival this year. We wish we could have celebrated 25 years with all of you ... but we're already looking forward to turning 26 in 2021!

Halifax ComedyFest has been rescheduled to October 28 to 31, 2020. The roster and venues for the October dates are expected to remain mostly the same, with as few changes as possible. *Existing tickets will be valid for rescheduled shows.*... *For those looking to receive refunds, they may do so from Wednesday, March 18 until Monday, June 1. Full refund details can be found at www.halifaxcomedyfest.ca.* Public health is the clear priority, says the festival producer Kim Hendrickson of Premiere Entertainment Group. While we’re in the funny business, we take the coronavirus situation very seriously. Given the request made by the provincial health authority to restrict the size of public gatherings in the coming weeks, we all agree that the most responsible thing to do is to postpone. Now in its 25th year, Ha!ifax ComedyFest is nationally televised on CBC. Halifax television producer Geoff D’Eon of Pilot Light Productions says, The comedians, the technicians, the audience - we’re part of the wider community, we’re all in the same big boat. We want to do whatever we can to slow the spread of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia.

We're not going to tell you which comedians are appearing at The Mystery Show at Good Robot Brewing Company, but we're willing to drop some hints! Appearing Thursday, April 23 ... one comedian has a bit of a "God" complex, and another once mugged Marshall. Any guesses? ... www.halifaxcomedyfest.ca
