With the increased number of exposure sites in our area, we are asking that anyone with an appointment who has been potentially exposed, call us to reschedule. We will be happy to rebook you in 2 weeks. We apologize for this inconvenience, but we feel we need to make this decision in order to keep our other patients, and staff, safe.

It’s National Dog Day! At Halifax Endodontics, Dr Michelle and DA Michelle both have doggos! They’re both white, and both like treats, but the similarities end there. Dr B’s dog (Enzi) is a 17lb Coton de Tulear, and DA Michelle’s dog (Sammie) is a 90lb Great Pyrenees! Look how cute they are!

The team at Halifax Endodontics is happy to announce that we'll be re-opening our doors on June 15! While overall changes to our office have been minimal, you will notice some slight differences if you've visited us before. These changes have been made in order to ensure that both our patients and staff stay safe as we remain cautious and vigilant in the face of the covid19 virus. For example:... * Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. These may be questions that you've never had to answer before a dental appointment in the past. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office. * We ask that you wear a mask to your appointment. * We will have you sanitize your hands when you arrive at the office. * You will notice that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect. * Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment and may have to wait in your car until we are ready to see you for treatment. * Patients should attend their appts alone, or have only ONE escort with them if required (ie a guardian or translator) * We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time. * Doctors and staff will look a little different in the operatories as we will have enhanced protective wear We look forward to seeing you again soon, and will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. You can also find information on our website.

URGENT UPDATE MARCH 31, 2020: Due to confirmation that there has been community transmission of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia, the Provincial Dental Board of Nova Scotia, with directive from Dr. Strang, has updated its Emergency Dental Protocol for the treatment of dental emergencies in Nova Scotia. The updated protocol takes effect tonight, and means we can no longer provide any care at our clinic. ... Designated Emergency Dental Clinics are as follows: 1. The clinic at the Dalhousie Faculty of Dentistry; 2. The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic at the Victoria General Hospital; 3. The Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the IWK Health Centre; You can still contact us by phone or email and our dentists will triage and assess all patient inquiries. If emergency treatment is required, we will refer you to one of the locations listed above. Unfortunately, we are now closed until further notice. Once the health authorities deem it safe for us to return to work, we will be contacting our previously scheduled patients ASAP for new appointments. Stay safe and healthy, and we hope to see you all soon.

The situation surrounding coronavirus Covid-19 continues to evolve rapidly. At 10pm on March 15, the Provincial Dental Board of Nova Scotia issued an advisory that for the safety of all, dental offices in our province should cease operations immediately except for EMERGENCIES. As such, we will have to reschedule most of our appointments. If you are having an Endodontic EMERGENCY please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you. An Endodontic Emergency is defined ...as SIGNIFICANT INFECTION/SWELLING, PAIN THAT IS UNMANAGEABLE WITH MEDICATION, OR TRAUMA. On behalf of Drs Belliveau, Usher, Mirdad, and team, we are sorry for any inconvenience. These are extraordinary times. See more

At Halifax Endodontics, we always take the safety of our staff and patients very seriously. In light of developments surrounding the novel coronavirus Covid-19, please read the following: > If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms-fever, cough, fatigue, muscle aches, shortness of breath- please let us know, and refrain from coming in for your dental appointment. We will be more than happy to reschedule you.... > If you arrive and show outward signs of being unwell, our staff has been instructed to rebook you for at least 14 days later. > If you have traveled outside the country (including the US), public health officials are asking people to self isolation/quarantine for 14 days. We will be more than happy to reschedule you. > Please minimize the number of people who accompany you to your appointment. Only one additional person will be allowed in the waiting room. If they show any outward signs of being unwell, they will be asked to leave. > If you meet any of these criteria but require EMERGENCY care, please let us know and we will do our very best to make alternate arrangements for you. Thank you for your continued cooperation as we all continue to navigate through this unprecedented scenario.
