Planning is underway for the Spring 2020 season. Stay tuned!
Hey ball hockey fans, The schedule for the Saturday championship games has been posted. You'll see it's very different from the usual. That's because we're playing multiple shortened games - a mini-round robin and then finals. Elementary and junior divisions will be playing a total of four 20-minute games: (three round-robin games and one final.) And LTP and Primary will play four 15-minute games. The very first games will begin at 9 a.m. and we're hoping to wrap things up a...round 3:30 p.m. We will work very hard to keep games on schedule and key to this will be having your team ready to play at your assigned time - particularly having goalies dressed and ready. While we will not present trophies or medals we will host a BBQ - starting at about 2 p.m. - for all to enjoy and to celebrate the season. To make the food prep go well we are looking for 9 people to help between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. when food will be served. Please let me know if you can help out. Take care and thanks, Louis and Charlene
Due to pending bad weather this Canada Day weekend and great weather being forecasted for next Saturday, we have rescheduled our Championship Day for Saturday, July 6. As discussed with most coaches last weekend, Championship Day will include a 4-team round robin featuring mini-games in each division. The final game will be either for third place or 1st place. Plan on a fun and full day with games taking place between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. While we will not present trophies or... medals we will host a BBQ for all to enjoy and to celebrate the season. To make the food prep go well we are looking for 9 people to help between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. when food will be served. Please let me know if you can help out. Stay tuned to the website as a detailed schedule will be posted. Wishing everyone a great Canada Day weekend. Take care and thanks, Louis and Charlene
Hey ball hockey fans, It is hard to believe but spring ball hockey is coming to an end. The final regular-season game is this weekend. We're scheduled to play Saturday, however, if it's raining, we would move the game to Sunday. Fingers crossed. The following weekend we have our championships. Stay tuned for more details on that.
Here's a great organization founded by HMBHL coach Dave Green: Funsports. The goal is all about getting kids into sports. Here's one of their events this weekend:
