Attention New Calls to the Bar 2020 If your firm will have new lawyers on staff as a result of this year’s Call to the Bar, we encourage you to pay their Halton County Law Association membership fees immediately so they can be included in the online directory. The membership rate for 2020 is $200.00 incl. HST and FOLA. Along with inclusion in the online directory, new members will receive: Courthouse pass card to bypass courthouse entrance screening... library material borrowing privileges after-hour access to the Practice Resource Centre reduced rates for CPD programs quarterly HCLA newsletter inclusion on email list to receive notices to the profession from the Ontario Courts and HCLA updates and activities membership in the Federation of Ontario Law Associations eligibility to take part in all Association CPD and social events full voting privileges at general meetings. Welcome Halton Students! If you have students starting at your firm in the next few weeks, please send us their names and email addresses so we can set them up in our system to receive HCLA emails. Information can be sent to [email protected] Students working for HCLA members have full access to library services and materials, reduced rate on Halton County Law Association CPD programs, and after-hours access to the HCLA Practice Resource Centre.
