A MESSAGE FROM THE COMMISSIONER Hello All, I am sure that you are watching the circumstances around COVID-19. In recent days the COVID 19 situation has changed ...here in North America at alarming measures. I will continue to monitor the experts medical advice and evaluate the next steps. At this time the ORHL Championships are still going forward as planned. I will keep you posted in the very near future should these plans change. The ORHL will implement the following precautions. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY FOR THE BALANCE OF THE REGULAR SEASON AND FOR CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND At the beginning of the game, all players will leave their gloves on for the handshake line up and only bump gloves Players to skip handshake with coaches Players and coaches should be encouraged to use hand sanitizer going into and out of the change rooms at the beginning and end of each game. This helps the next team using the same room as well. Encourage everyone to avoid all hand shakes and body contact such as patting others on the back as sports people so often do In abundance of caution if anyone has been travelling, they should consider avoiding playing at all unless it has been more than 14 days. This is especially difficult because of the proximity to March Break. All players should have their own water bottles, avoid sharing Players should avoid showering after games Officials and bench staff are encouraged to wear gloves
