To all our friends and supporters, the good news is we now have a building permit to construct the addition to Ham House that will allow us to move forward on our project. We will still need to pay the substantial development fees, but at least now we can move forward. The bad news was that on April 17 our website was hacked and some invasive scripts installed. This was dues to a vulnerability in the hosting platform, but has now been resolved and the website at www.hamhouse...bath.com is now back up. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. If you haven't looked at this website and you're interested in history, it's a fun read.

The exterior of 2010 had been established in 1896 with the re-siding of the house and replacement of original windows. The restored exterior is how the building looked in 1818.

Before restoration there were 3 layers of flooring with the centre of the bottom original floor replaced in 1854. We recovered 33 layers of wallpaper from the corner covers.

I'm very pleased to announce that Loyalist Township has now modified their Water Bylaw to allow deferral of Impost Fees for Designated Heritage buildings to when the business opens. We will still need to pay these fees, but this will help enormously with cash flow. This spring will see the construction of a new addition to house modern infrastructure with an eye to opening toward the end of this year... Thank you everyone for your support!
