HDM has been serving the community for more than 20 years now operating out of the poorest neighborhood in Ontario and perhaps in Canada. Back in 2014, we had a... rare opportunity to purchase a new building of 32,000 sq ft in the downtown core of Hamilton. Alhamdulillah, we jumped on it and since then the expectations from the local community have kept growing. In fact, there is a big need to open up the second floor of the newly acquired property to serve as an Islamic School, which would be the only one in the downtown Hamilton area. So, we’ve had to take it upon us to respond to the community’s need and work effortlessly to prepare the second floor of the HDM building to host an Islamic School this September. This Ramadan, we urgently need to raise enough funds to complete the 2nd floor renovations. The campaign organizers have broken down the online target into a very reasonable target that is very achievable by the 3rd day of Eid insha’a Allah.
