***PEAS SHARE*** Coming soon! The Hamilton Seed Library is moving outdoors into this custom-made little library. The #HamOnt Seed Library is usually located inside EcoHouse and at the Hamilton Public Library - Westdale Branch. Due to Covid-19, both of these community seed donation and borrowing locations have been closed this spring ... Stay tuned as we put some finishing touches on this beautiful Hamilton Free Seed Library and get it stocked and set up for safe, contact-less, free seed sharing! Thanks to the a-maize-ing and generous John Terpstra (http://www.johnterpstra.com) who donated his time and talent to build this adorable seed library cabinet for EcoHouse, and in record time! We love the penthouse bird suite . We need SEED DONATIONS!! If you are able to package them in small envelopes (homemade are fine!) and label them with the variety and year saved that is ideal. Bulk seed donations are also most welcome! Seed donations can be made through no-contact porch drop-off at EcoHouse. Email [email protected] to set up a seed drop off! The purpose of the seed library is to support the preservation of seed diversity and to support seed swapping and seed saving within our community, so more people can grow their own local fresh food, while we grow a more local, sustainable, equitable food system and a healthier and greener community. Thanks for your support!
