When I was in Grade 6 our Art teacher gave us a lesson on oil painting. I was addicted and begged my mom to buy me paints. I haven’t done it in ages, but this is a close second. This is the Art Gallery stamp set from the Jan. -June mini catalogue. If you think this is good check out the co-ordinating Designer Series paper! Here I paired it with the Painted Texture Emboss Folder and Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

The chick is back and has Covid hair! We all saw the Hey Birthday Chick set p. 52 of Jan- June mini catalogue ....beginning February 2nd you can order dies for that one and dies for the Hey Chick set that you might already have from Sale-a-Bration 2017. If you were here yesterday you saw my prep work for a swap card made with Sweet Ice Cream from mini. Bet you thought it would be about ice cream....fooled you. I am a little weird and see things in different ways. I turned the ice cream part upside down and saw a bear....cake pop that is! By the way, not posted here I also turned it into Minnie Mouse! Love versatile sets!

So it is card swap season so I am in two swaps! I love creating. If you zoom in you will see that I am creating with the lovely Sweet Ice Cream set from the mini catalogue. Tune in tomorrow to see what icy treat I came up with!

Playing with Stacked Stone background stamp today! It was a beautiful background for Prized Peony bundle. I then used it to create an accent piece (torn and sponged) and paired with So Sentimental bundle. The greeting came from the set and was cut out with a die from the bundle. This pairing is super for celebrating many occasions. The added fun was that I stamp both greetings in Versamark on black card stock and then heat embossed using white emboss powder. Quick as a wink I coloured over the greetings with Stampin’ Blends (alcohol markers) for the amazing effect. Want more info....contact me!

Just a wee bit of inspiration!

I have no medical knowledge to help during Covid but what I can do is make cards. I have made it my mission to send out as many cards as I can during distancing. It somehow makes me feel normal, doing what I love and making an attempt to brighten someone’s day. So far I have sent out 49 cards with another 51 ready to put together. FYI I used the Stamparatus a positioning tool to get the placement exactly the same. In the fall I will definitely be using this tool for Christmas cards! There was one extra special thing....with each card I sent and extra envelope and a sticky note that had a sweet poem about re- using the card. Hope it sends a bit of cheer. I was watching people buy cards today at $10-12 a pop. I gave this one to boyfriend#1 today and it only cost me about $1.00 in materials. I used the Enjoy Life stamp set from Stampin’Ups Annual catalogue. None of the other boyfriends got one!

I love when I get to work with virgin stampers. This amazing group produced these 3 cards with a few laughs on the side. The featured sets were Painted Poppies(this catalogue favourite), Everything Amazing, and the Under My Umbrella stamp set and punch. In a beginner class which is always FREE for virgins, I try to take the confusion out of seeing so many wonderful things and stressing the basics.
