The team rocked it! A solid week on our latest build, completing week 2 on site. The team has gone above and beyond to keep this project going depsite the delays and hidden gems in the walls we found. Our 21ft beam is in, and inspection is passed. ... Ceiling scraped and sheeted with mud and tape on for first coat. Bulkheads laid out for all our new HVAC. Next up, sand and skim and flooring patch work. More TIPS! This is one smart simple tip I picked up from my friends @deckstars.regal and @regalideas on making your posts perfectly level everytime! A stainless steel flat washer, (1/2" ID) preferably, works great to kick your posts that extra degree to level your posts on the mark.... By either placing it between the bolts or have a bolt going through it on the underside of your post, will be a great and secure method to ensuring a perfectly level post. #deckstars #protip #deckbuilders #regalrailings #handcrafted

By cutting an inside 45* angle you can see the profile line of your trim to create a perfectly coped trim end. Using a table router or trim router is another way to speed the process up, then simply file and sand your profile to fit. Transformation complete! More photos to come, but wanted to share this great before and after of an exterior remodel we did this year. In the beginning it had 4 rotted wood pillars, that are now 2 great stone pillars with composite uppers.... The worn concrete patio and overgrown garden, have become 1 elongated covered porch. Covered entirely with @trunorthdeckbros composite deck boards. To top it all off, @whitby_garage_doors_ltd installed 2 new garage doors (to be seen in next photos) and we also added all new siding, eaves, soffit, fascia and windows too! Checklists are key! When you order a railing system from @regalideas they always attach a bill of materials, a.k.a. a pick list for you to review. Much like assembling your favourite boxed furniture , it's best to review this list and make sure that everything received is the same as what is listed.... Safety First! It's always a topic on any jobsite, and whether you are working on something simple at home or a monster project at work, safety is always first. TIP! Here's a tip I wanted to share for anyone looking to keep those @regalideas posts in perfect line. It's a fundamental guideline on making your installation, especially for glass panels, go smoothly. ... Start with marking your outside corner posts, note the dimension offset to be the same for each post. Now pull your chalk line from corner to corner over the hole centres, simply snap it and you now have a straight guide line for a beautiful installation.
