At this time the board would like to extend our sincere thanks to the City employees that support the Kenora Handi Transit and City Councillor Chris VanWellegham for their relentless guidance in ensuring we are running a successful organization.

The new Kenora-Handi Transit bus is here and the drivers are receiving orientation and with the garage is soon to be ready for them. Our drivers continues to drive our Clients to essential appointments. The ridership is down due to COVID-19 Public Health restrictions with community activities shut down. The Kenora-Handi Transit does not anticipate to increase their deputation to the City virtually on December 14th. Says, Rossana Tomashowski, Kenora Handi Transit Board Chair. She adds that we value our staff at the office Judy & Diana who continues to work remotely and limited office days. To our great drivers! Roland, Sheldon and Sean, Thank you!

Did you know the Kenora Handi Transit is available to those registered, seniors, physically disabled individuals (including the legally blind), who are unable to use the regular public transit system. Door to door service taking you to appointments, shopping and even family visits by appointment.
