Emily Foden of @violaemily wrote one of our favourite knitting books of all time, Knits About Winter, and told us a little about the Barn Sweater that you can find in its pages: I love knitting my Barn Sweater because I find its simplicity and shape totally versatile. It keeps me comfy and warm whetherI layer it over a dress, jeans or leggings. My home is so cold in the winter time that getting dressed in the morning is a race to stay warm so I like a sweater that works withall of my wardrobe! While I think that Barn looks great knit with a large variety of yarns (double stranded mohair lace like Anatolia or Skein Study Mohair is on my to knit list too), I think a classic and gorgeous choice would be Semilla Melange.
