This Friday’s highlights!

Originating in 18th century Japan, shou sugi ban is a particularly striking method of preserving wood by charring it with fire. After trying this method on mantles, and other interior components, I decided to do all the timber work in this house in that ancient technique. It’s a unique and beautiful texture in this beautiful house.

When in the design process, I new this home would have a presence. But to walk through it, is immensely rewarding. www.evergreenway.ca

2 story home foundation is complete and framing is started on the sprawling rancher.

Back to our modern farm house, that was snapped up early in construction. We are getting the foundation in for the owners new shop.
