We have 4 Pekin drakes up for sale. Hatched April 13 2020. Very healthy but a bit shy for hand raised. Zero issues with them. Would like the four to stay together if possible. Very bonded always together. $15 each.

I have stumbled on a great falcon and hawk deterrent. I call it air support. I have been feeding a murder of crows for a few weeks. They have started to hang around for most of the day. Yesterday I seen them attacking a falcon in the air chasing it off. Maybe those morning sirens aren’t so bad after all.

When you buy eggs from a supermarket there is a pretty good chance your eggs have been in that carton for almost a month. Commercial egg farmers have 30 days once their eggs are packed in a carton to sell them. If the carton is labeled with a "use by" date that date is 45 days from the when the eggs were packaged. Question for you chicken lovers. Do you use straw or shavings for bedding ? Have you ever switched ? Have you noticed and production changes ? I’ve always used shavings. And a somewhat slow egg production. I recently over the past few days put straw in the barn for goats. Today I found 5 eggs from 7 meat birds that were not laying. On top of a bale. Two of the eggs were over 92 grams and double yokes. ... Wondering if there could be a connection ?
