CALLING ALL FIRST YEARS! HanVoice is re-opening applications until the end of the month because we'd love to have more first years apply for our team, though of course, anyone is welcome to apply! Are you interested in getting involved in a club that advocates for human rights issues? Then HanVoice McMaster is perfect for you! HanVoice is Canada’s largest not-for-profit organization advocating for North Korean refugees, with chapters at university campuses across the country... (including UofT, Western, UBC and more). One of HanVoice’s most notable projects is the HanVoice Pioneer Project (HPP). This 6-month program annually offers a North Korean refugee special training in advocacy and leadership, in addition to an internship with a Canadian Senator! This program empowers North Korean refugees to advocate for themselves to the Canadian government, and the world, in hopes of bringing more attention to their nation and North Korean human rights. We aspire to join other university chapters in supporting North Korean refugees to emerge as leaders in advocacy regarding their nation. We hope to make a difference through bringing awareness to these issues, hosting educational events, and participating in fundraisers. We believe that Canada can become a leading country in advocacy and support for North Korean refugees and their human rights. We need your help! HanVoice's McMaster Chapter is accepting applications for our 2020/2021 executive positions. If you're interested in North Korean human rights, advocating for refugees, and lobbying please take a look. https://drive.google.com//1kyQxg5LcTat4_LVh8kElsb_hN/view For any questions regarding the application process please reach out to Emma Baliat at [email protected]. We can't wait to hear from you and we look forward to a successful year! If you want to learn more about HanVoice visit https://hanvoice.ca/

It’s been over ten years since HanVoice has started advocating for Canada to take action on the human rights crisis in North Korea. Thanks to the courage of Canadians from coast to coast, our political parties are undivided today in their recognition of the crisis. We wanted to better share our story and represent the diversity of our network across Canada.... Today, we’re excited to introduce our new logo: a bridge connecting Red and Blue. North and South. Hope and Action.
