Since our inception one of our main goals have always been to promote Filipino food. This stemmed out from our disappointment and curiosity that although there’s a lot of Filipinos here in Vancouver, our cuisine is still fairly unfamiliar to most non-Filipinos. Long Christmas Story : Christmas Eve is the most hectic day of the year for us and yesterday was no different. Towards the end of the day, we were running behind schedule and people had to wait for their orders longer. We felt terrible. And yet, the most amazing thing happened yesterday. People didn’t get mad. We heard them talking and laughing amidst the long wait, the cold weather and the dark night. When we finally gave their orders & our apology, we were given reassuri...ng smiles and warm Christmas greetings from one customer after another. For a crew that had been working non stop for 8 hrs, skipping lunch, bathroom breaks, and even a drink of water, the many acts of kindness (some even brought gifts!) that we received yesterday truly touched our hearts and showed us the true meaning of Christmas. We couldn’t have been more grateful for your support, your patience and most especially, your kindness.
