In light of being unable to host our Annual Family Christmas Holiday Party this year, Happy House Daycare has donated $500.00 to The Great Cold Lake Turkey Race to help Cold Lake Food Bank’s Christmas Hamper project’s goal of purchasing 400 turkeys for families of our community in need this Holiday Season! Due to the rise in recent Covid-19 cases we want to reassure parents/guardians that we are doing everything we can to keep your children, families and our staff safe and healthy. We would like to remind you of the additional measures we are taking at this time: Daily Health Checklist for all children and staff including multiple temperature checks throughout the day. Not allowing children that are presenting symptoms to attend the program. Hand washing/Sanitizing u...pon entering the center. Operating in approved Cohorts. Recommending the use of masks. Requiring masks for staff entering another cohort or common area. Daily enhanced cleaning of all toys using approved disinfectant. Daily sanitization of cots/cribs and bedding, personal/individual items, etc. Discontinuing use of items that cannot be cleaned and disinfected. Thorough and repetitive daily cleaning through out the center. And the recent purchase of a portable sanitization sprayer. We ask that you please remain patient with us in these unprecedented times as we work through this together. We want to thank you all for your support and understanding for the decisions we’ve had to make following recommendations by AHS associated to a positive case related to Happy House Daycare South’s location and the temporary closure of the Out of School Care Program for isolation. Position / Shift: Toddler, Preschool or Before & After School care staff. Credentials: Early Childhood Education Certificate or Diploma, Bachelor of Education Degree, Educational Assistant certificate or Diploma, Social Worker Diploma, Bachelor of Child and Youth Care Diploma. Requirements: First Aid Certificate, Vulnerable Sector Check, Child Intervention Record Check.... Wage: $15.50 - $19.00/hr PLUS additional government top-up of $2.14 - $6.62/hr for qualified candidates, conditional on education and/or experience. Children's Ages:0-12 years Early Childhood Education Skills: Plan and develop childcare and nursery school programs. Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special activities. Provide opportunities for creative expression through the mediums of art, dramatic play, music and physical activities. Encourage the development of Fine and Gross Motor development. Provide a safe and nurturing environment that protects the well-being of all children. Assess the developmental level of children and prepare progress reports. Communicate with parents, directors and other Educators. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, physically demanding, Attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting.
