Happy Birthday, Mango

The suspense was killin' us but now it's official: Gordie Lucius (writer) and Eva Colmers (producer) are selected to attend the 1 year prestigious NSI TotallyTelevision program with our multi-cultural and multi-generational series proposal LUPITA. The proposed series LUPITA is based on the successful, award-winning shortfilm Happy Birthday, Mango originally written/ directed and produced by Eva Colmers. A huge thank you to our original female lead actress Nathania Louise Ber...nabe. Thank you to the Filipino community for their continuous support of this project. With a dominantly Filipino writing team, we now are SOOOOOOO stoked to develop this comedy series right here in our unique Edmonton. Thank you jury and National Screen Institute - Canada (NSI) in believing in the power and charm of LUPITA and our team!

Our cast and crew could sense already 3 years ago that this young, talented "local" dancer I'd cast in my shortfilm Happy Birthday, Mango is destined to fly high - so much talent, focus, smarts and good attitude. Well Taylor Hatala, it's wonderful to see you do so well. So proud of you. Stay grounded, sweet Taylor! You are wonderful even without paparazzi and glam.
