In a recent city council meeting, Cllr Hanlon expressed interest in revisiting St. John's by-laws, highlighting that the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) has recently permitted backyard secondary suites. Yesterday, the City of St. John's released the 2021 budget. The budget includes measures to address the projected $10-12M deficit that the city is facing.
