Dear Happy Hourz Pub Patrons, friends and HappyZ FamJam, When we opened Happy Hourz Pub a decade ago, We envisioned a haven for all walks of life, have a pint, ...play pool, sing your happyz hearts out, make friends with strangers, come together and dance to the music. We have successfully implemented this vision. Unfortunately, given the state of the pandemic and an unpredicted future, this haven has to give in to the new reality. We feel that we cannot safely move forward knowing that our bar calls upon a culture that physically brings each other close together, I mean really close lol. Our environment calls upon congregating, drinking, laughing and singing that promotes higher risk of Covid-19 spread. Lets be realistic, more contact equals more transmission which puts our staffs, patrons, family and friends at peril. We love and care about you all. Therefore, we do not want to be the cause of people getting sick. Our first and number one priority is safety more than anything. We have already waited 6 months for things to go back to normal but even now, unfortunately waiting for it does not make economic sense. We are still in the midst of a pandemic . It is with great sadness that we have decided to cease operation at our current location and possibly start fresh somewhere else when it is safe to do so. We tried to open when Phase 3 was announced. We were even excited and were determined to start operating again. As we were preparing to reopen, we had a meeting implementing the new safety protocols. At first everything seemed hopeful. We even created a covid proof, no touch karaoke with a clear barrier. As the night progressed, even with a small party of 10, we realized once the spirit of Happy Hourz kicked in, social distancing, mask on, staying safe ultimately became an after thought. Upon reflection, we realized that we cannot keep it safe. Its human nature, when the alcohol & bar atmosphere kicks in , we tend to lose our inhibitions . This bar has been a second home to so many of us. We deeply appreciate all the love and support youve given us these last 10 years. We are so grateful to you all whether it be during the day, talking about anything and everything, or playing some pool, sharing the stage, showing your best dance pole moves, pouring shots, jamming and rocking out. We thank You for choosing us to hold your special memorable parties and spend many holidays such as Halloween, Christmas and New Years with us. Your presence has been such a gift to us. Youve given us more than we couldve ever hoped for. Stay tuned, WeLL BE BACK We wish that youre all happy, healthy and well . Miss you and love you all. Dear HappY HourZ PuB Patrons, Friends and HappyZ famjam , Due to the recent updates and recommendation from the Ministry of Health, we have revised our decision and post from yesterday to not only suspend our Karaoke and limit our hours of operation but to TEMPORARILY CLOSE THE BAR effective immediately until further notice . We feel this is our responsibility to contribute towards the curve of this virus and pandemic through social distancing. Therefore, we have decided to SUSPEND OUR NIGHTLY KARAOKE starting tomorrow . We regret that our scheduled St. Patricks Day Karaoke Event on March 17 will be Canceled , but you can still come celebrate St. Patricks Day until 10pm. The bar hours starting tomorrow Monday March 16 will be between 2pm and 10pm. We do this volun...tarily because we feel this is our social responsibility to help slow down the virus.
