Today is the Day! At 5:00pm Today, Gerry's will be opening up our doors for a brand new season. We are very excited to be beginning our 12th season in business ...with current owners. Come on down this evening for all of your classic Gerry's favourite menu items! We will be opened this evening from 5:00pm-8:00pm, Saturday from 11:30am-8:00pm, and Sunday from 11:30am-7:00pm. Welcome Back To Another Season at Gerry's! Our Response to COVID-19: At Gerry's, we take the health and safety of our staff and customers very seriously. In the recent events of the COVID-19 pandemic, Gerry's has implemented brand new features to ensure a safe and effective business environment for both our customers and staff. For our customers, we have provided signs and platforms (in the form of blue footprints) to ensure that social distancing is mandatory, we have provided a plexiglass window for ordering, and we have provided hand sanitizer to be available for customers who wish to have access. Additionally, we have provided a brand new debit-credit machine to ensure a safer method of transaction. We have also further encouraged phone-in orders. For our Staff Members: We have implemented safe social distancing measures, we have provided several and further sanitization units, a plexiglass window for a safe ordering system, a debit-credit machine, and protective gloves and masks. The Port Elgin Beach Market Committee and the Port Elgin Pumpkinfest Team have made the challenging decision to cancel the seasonal Wednesday Beach Market for 2...020. The health and safety of our many vendors, volunteers, residents, and countless visitors is paramount to the committee. Taking these factors into consideration, it has become apparent that we are unable to continue this summer with the traditional beach market. The team will work along side the Municipality to monitor the ongoing situation and are open to evaluate other opportunities for the beach area should the situation change, and we can guarantee the health and safety of all. On behalf of the committee we thank our volunteers, vendors residents and visitors for your dedication and support over the 40 years the market has been running. We are already looking forward to your return in 2021.
