Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9-inch pie pan with coconut oil. 2. Combine all the crust ingredients in a large bowl and mix with a pastry blender or your fingertips until a uniform dough comes together. 3. Gently shape the dough into a ball, cover with plastic wrap, and chill in the freezer for about an hour. 4. Once the crust has chilled, press out the dough into the pie shell so it is about inch thick and poke with a fork 5 times. Over the edges of the crust press down with a fork. 5. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. While the crust cooks, make the Filling 1. Dissolve starch in lemon juice with stevia and vanilla. 2. In a small pot, bring the fruit juice and agar to a boil, reduce to medium heat and simmer for 3 minutes. 3. Add starch liquid and frozen berries. Cook for 5 more minutes over high heat. 4. Blend on high for 2 minutes until smooth and add to baked crust or into glass serving dishes. You can also find this recipe at: www.drhardick.com

Let’s talk about the @maxlivingofficial 5 EssentialsAchieving lifelong health and wellness starts with Chiropractic Care. At @hardickchiropractic we help patients with this aspect of their health on the daily and love seeing their amazing results! Nutrition is another important essential for optimal health. We help patients get started with our core or advanced nutrition plans from @drhardick ‘s book #AlignYourHealth and customize the plans to each persons needs Po...sitive Mindset is also huge for success when making changes. We are here to support you in creating new, healthy habits. Oxygen and Exercise is another key essential to help you reach your goals. Our exercise program is designed to fit your lifestyle and increase your fitness level, even if you are just starting out. And last - but certainly not least - Minimizing Toxins is a key essential to wellness. By reducing your toxin exposure you can support your body’s natural ability to heal itself, resulting in long-lasting positive effects. Which essential are you focusing on right now? And it’s totally okay if you are working on all of them or focusing on just one at a time! Share below where you are starting out!
Truth! One way you can take care of your body is to minimize toxin exposure. As it is now, our world is so inundated with toxins that it's difficult to eliminate all of them. But we can make simple swaps, over time, that eventually add up to make a difference. Here are a few places to start that I outline in my book #alignyourhealth: Food: Grow your own food or shop from someone who does! If you don't have the space for an in-ground garden consider a raised gar...den or a community garden plot. You can also check out EWG’s guide to the Clean 15 and Dirty Dozen to help you know which produce to buy organic. Pro Tip: Prepare meals in bulk, weekly or monthly, to lessen your need for processed, convenience foods. The more prepared you the better choices you will make! Water: Ideally we would all be drinking from clean spring water that is full of the minerals we need for good health without all the added chemicals. Choose spring water whenever possible or Carbon-filtered water is the next-best option. You can also consider a whole-home water filter. Personal Care & Household Products: Support artisans who make natural, reliable products that are toxin free. This includes deodorants, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, salves, balms, fragrances, cosmetics, detergents and household cleaners and more. You would be shocked to find out how many harmful chemicals are in conventional products that disrupt our hormones and cause toxic buildup in the body leading to illness. Seek out local businesses in your area that carry naturally made alternatives. As you gradually change over to more natural products watch your well-being improve. You will be amazed! Share the ways you minimize toxin exposure below! Did we miss anyone in our community? Tag them below!

Can stretching help your heart? We often think of cardiovascular workouts as the best way to train the heart, but the news that stretching can be very beneficial is very exciting! Many people who suffer from heart conditions, might be in a position where strenuous exercise, and sometimes even walking (especially outside when it is hot!) can be a concern. This means that those who are at risk, or already suffering can check in with their doctor, and maybe start doing something less intense to help their hearts!
Dr. B.J. Hardick from Hardick Chiropractic Centre shares which supplements to consider taking on a daily basis for optimal wellness.
