Well, can't believe the response we got in a ccouple hours. We always knew that the people around here were good hearted. We thank you so much and be contented in knowing that every dollar you give us goes back into the community . In these trying times there are more needs than usually. Our major fundraiser is TV Bingo, we had to cancel this so right now this is the only thing we could come up with. And we, and the community, THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Just got back from our annual Speak out. We had 3 speakers, the topics and the speeches were amazing. The winners will move on to the next level in March.

Some pictures of today. Our club has been providing free fruit to the participants of this tournament for a couple of years now. Thanks to Lions, Herman Collins,Sterling Button, Shannon Rogers, Clyde Rogers, and who ever else I missed.

Sorry to be late doing this but we were late and tired,getting home yesterday after our cold plate sale,and, we were at the volleyball tournament all day today. I have to send roses to somebody! When I got home yesterday my driveway was plowed right to my door. That gives me faith that there are still some good people around. Whoever you were I thank you very much, it was greatly appreciated. Now back to our cold plate sale. The lions would like to thank everyone who made ...it possible, it was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who made salads, donated items even a turkey in one case, the non-lions who came and helped out (whom I should say we would not have been able to do without your help), we know we can always depend on your help. You are as much a part of our club as we are. I do realize that not every household got covered. We had 600plates, we had 5 teams trying to cover both towns, sometimes you would run out before you got to the end of your route. If you wanted a cold plate and was missed we are very sorry. But I hope that all people realize that all profits end up going back into our towns. We don’t publish it,but I’m sure everyone knows someone that we have helped. And, it’s because of the support we get in HareBay and Dover that we can do this. Our hats go off to our residents who help us, help others.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a very dedicated lion. Lion Stan Collins joined our club May 1st 1995. He has been a very active Lion, he truly believed in our moto WE SERVE . Lion Stan will surely be missed. UP DATE ... Very visitations for Lion Stan will be at Orams funeral home in Dover on Wednesday and Thursday at 2pm to 4 and 7pm till 9. Funeral services will be Friday at 2pm at the Salvation Army church in HareBay. See more

Another great meeting over with. Tonight we were honoured with a visit from our Zone Chair Eric and his wife Lion Sylvia. And tonight we are proud to say that Lion Eric was given the task of inducting 4, yes 4(four), new members to our club. Welcome aboard, Lions Randy Seymour, Kelly Kelly Ennis, Shelley Collins, and Sheldon Rogers. We are sure you’ll be an asset to our club.

Lion Clyde Rogers presenting scholarship at JCA today. Also today we donated $500 to the JCA breakfast fund.

The Lions donating to the fire department at the town Christmas party. We presented them with a check for $1000. They do a tremendous job and deserve every penny.

If this can’t get me into the Christmas spirit nothing will. Today we (Hare Bay/Dover Lions) delivered a pickup load of food to the Salvation Army food bank at Gander. This is what we collected during the parade and what the kids at William Mercer Academy collected in school, wonderful job.
