This is so uncool. Anyone in our community have a spare deck? Edit: sounds like his mom got him a new board. ... Thanks to those who offered what they could.
Love watching your videos at the park. Make sure you tag us in your posts.

Woke up like this!
It's so shiny and new!
You love to see it.
There has never been a better time to build a mini-ramp in your backyard than *right now*. With the covid19 pandemic and lockdown in effect we've been ordered to avoid hot spots where keeping a safe distance from people you don't live with becomes a challenge. These are unprecedented times. We are being asked to think of someone other than ourselves, to keep our circle tight, limit our exposure to public places in order to to flatten the curve. The sooner we stop the spread, ...the sooner we can get back to doing the things we love with our friends. Let's not make these hard times any longer or worse than they need to be by disobeying park closures. We need you healthy and ready to rock when they cut the ribbon on Harewood Skatepark. #WashYerHands #KeepYerDistance
The humble "Isaac Neuton" of skateboarding, inventor of the flat ground ollie, Rodney Mullen schools us on the Beauty of Skateboarding. #flattenthecurb #skate2metersapart #washyourhands #donttouchyourface
Here's some news that doesn't suck. Nanaimo Skateboard Association president Jordan Pletz recently spoke to reporter Ian Holmes about the ongoing construction of Harewood Skatepark. Click this link for the details:... https://nanaimonewsnow.com//world-class-skateboard-park-g/ See more
We're devastated to learn that Island Riders Boardshop is closing it's doors on January 5th. Get out there and score some sick deals while they last. These guys did so much for Nanaimo's skate and snowboard scenes, sponsoring young up and comers, holding contests and raising funds for local park projects. Join me in thanking Chris and Veva and their team for all their labours of love towards making Nanaimo a lot more radical. ... Thanks dudes, we are gonna miss you like crazy, good luck in 2020!
Skateboarding to save the planet Heck ya The government of BC is promoting Active Transportation to combat climate change and working to remove barriers for people who want to take part. "We all have a part to play in protecting our environment, and for more and more people, that means walking, cycling, SKATEBOARDING or using a scooter to get where they’re going, said Vancouver West End NDP, Spencer Chandra Herbert MLA.... Let’s work together towards creating community-specific active transportation networks that are safe, affordable, accessible and convenient for people of all ages and abilities. Since City of Nanaimo Local Government officially declared a climate emergency, it's time to get Nanaimo Mayor, and City Council on board for an end to laws prohibiting skateboarding in our city. I need your attention for 5 minutes. Can u help? The BC government is doing public consultations, asking what barriers are preventing people from participating in active transportation, like SKATEBOARDING. Incredible community spirit will soon be on display nearby our future location. Can't wait to see it in person. The memory of Makayla lives on.
Drop off your used skateboard gear at Island Riders by Monday. Pass it forward to less fortunate kids that will appreciate your old gear! #radsanta
