You mean there’s a temporary insurance slip? When you first sign up for car insurance with BIG, you will receive a temporary insurance slip with a temporary pol...icy number called a ‘binder’. An insurance binder is a temporary insurance contract that offers fully effective insurance coverage while you wait for the formal issuance from your provider. This temporary slip can be used as proof of insurance for up to 30 days or until you receive the formally issued policy number and liability slips from your insurance carrier. When you receive your new liability slips with your insurance policy details, the temporary slips expire and can no longer be used as proof of insurance if you are pulled over or in an accident. Keep an eye out for your insurance slips in the mail, email, or on the BIG app. When you get them, make sure you put them in your vehicle or install the digital liability slips on your smartphone’s wallet.
