Covid 19 Update: Dear Clients and Friends, As previously communicated, we will not be accepting client and 3rd party meetings at our offices during the quarantine and self-isolation period. In order to facilitate timely CRA filings and all corporate and personal projects, we will maintain a drop box at our 8920 Woodbine Ave location. Please also forward all documents to us electronically at our secure email addresses which many of you do in the normal course. We will be retri...eving all documents, email and voicemail and returning calls on a regular basis. We strongly encourage you to follow these revised procedures for delivery of data and processing of your filings. While we acknowledge the extension of the filing date to June 1st, we request that you provide your data to us well before the pre-Covid 19 April 30th deadline as due to the Covid 19 operational disruptions, our May/June corporate work volumes may conflict with our completing a timely filing on your behalf. Please note as per the government announcement below that you can now pay your tax owing at any time up to August 31st, 2020 without penalty. The government has extended the tax deadline to June 1st, and Canadians who owe on their taxes will not need to make a payment until August 31st. Good news for small business owners and contractors, who often have a big tax bill come tax time. Corporations are still required to file taxes within six months of their fiscal year end, but will similarly be able to defer payments until August 31st. Wishing you all good health and stay safe ! Sincerely, The Partners and Staff at Harris and Partners

Although TFSA contributions should be maximized when possible, please check your contribution limits. There are severe financial consequences for over-contributing. See the article below!

Great news if you are a business owner! Here's hoping this can come to pass!
I get asked about this regularly, heres a good brief read:
Latest scam- CRA does not email. Ever.
The average Canadian family pays 43.2 per cent of its income on taxes, more than on housing, food, and shelter combined. Read this
This is ridiculous. Small Business owners and their employees arent tax cheats, and shouldnt have to worry about the government putting them out of business with massive tax hikes.
Dont be fooled by this government.
