Harrow Animal Hospital 29.04.2021

COVID-19: IMPORTANT UPDATE To protect the health and safety of our clients and our employees, we are ensuring our clients continue to receive the essential medical care they rely on. We have begun to take several measures to avoid the spreading of any potential infections and as a precaution are keeping a reduced number of staff working at all times. We’ve placed hand sanitizer and antiseptics in our facility at multiple spots, ensuring that every employee and client can u...se them. We’re trying to limit the amount of people that are in the building at a given time. Our staff is taking proper hygiene measures and social distancing very seriously. We have made it mandatory for our staff to notify us at work if they’re having ANY specific/non-specific symptoms, such as high temperature, fever, sneezing, or coughing to ensure that they don’t have any contagious infection. Our employees are signing a daily log-in sheet agreeing to the fact that they aren’t feeling any symptoms and are fit to work, so that together we can take all steps possible to ensure that we aren’t spreading any possible infection amongst our staff or to any of our valued clients and anticipate the same in return. While we are doing all we can to maintain client, and employee safety and limit the impact of our service of care levels, we recognize that there may be a future impact to our ability to serve all clients. Our promise to you is to communicate early and often if we either need to temporarily close or reschedule appointments. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Sincerely, Doctor n Staff at Harrow Animal Hospital.

Ontario Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA) To help keep veterinary teams, clients and patients safe during the COVID-19 outbreak, pet owners can take the following precautions when visiting a veterinary clinic: Call ahead to schedule an appointment.... Notify the clinic if you have travelled outside of the country, are showing any symptoms or are feeling unwell, so appropriate precautions can be taken. Refrain from bringing other family members with you to your appointment. Purchase pet food in reasonable amounts (avoid panic buying). Wash/sanitize your hands before and after your appointment and practice social distancing whenever possible. Veterinary clinics have safety protocols in place and are working hard to care for pets during this outbreak. If you have any questions, call your veterinarian.

Why can't you just flick a tick? Because it attaches to you with a mouth covered in hooks, while it fattens up on your blood. For days. But don't worry there *is* a way to pull it out. PSA: If you spend any time outside, ALWAYS CHECK FOR TICKS.
