#BEZAIRESTRONG CAR WASH and BARBECUE This coming Saturday (Aug. 15th), from 11-4PM, a fundraising car wash will be held in Harrow to support the amazing Bezaire family. In collaboration with the top-quality guys from the Harrow Car Wash and donations from Maria's Restaurant & Catering, the Whaler boys will be on-site at the Harrow Car Wash (on King St), washing cars and grilling hotdogs and burgers. 100% of the funds raised between 11 and 4PM will be donated to Brandon and Am...y Bezaire, as Brandon continues his fight against cancer. $10 per car wash (all four bays will be open, three of them with a Whaler ready to wash, while one will be open for those that prefer to wash their own vehicle) $5 for a barbecue combo (either burger or hotdog, with chips and a pop or water) A huge thank you to the Harrow Car Wash guys and the people at Maria’s Restaurant in Amherstburg. This would not be possible without them. We hope to see all of #BrandonsArmy out on Saturday. Let’s continue showing this family how loved they are! #WeAreWhalers #WeAreHarrow #WhalerFamily NOTE: Social distancing/COVID guidelines do apply. The guys serving food will be masked and gloved. We ask that everyone respect the guidelines in place, ensure they are distancing when getting food, and avoid congregating on site. We want to see as many people come by as possible, but want to ensure everyone’s safety as well!

The sun is shining, shorts are on, and usually the Whalers would spend this weekend representing the great town of Harrow on the streets of London Instead, quarantine got Matt, Brandon, and Joe like... We hope everyone is staying safe, staying healthy, and we hope to see you (and each other) soon!... #WeAreWhalers #AnimalCrossing #MissingBarneys

No better way to wrap up the summer than the Harrow Fair and Harrow Whalers dunk tank. Amazing work by Mike Teves Films! If you need a videographer, Mike is your guy - his work speaks for itself!

HARROW WHALERS DONATE TO COLCHESTER GUARDIAN As seen in this weeks edition of the Harrow News, the Harrow Whalers recently made their annual donation to a local organization. As you may remember, last year we donated to the Harrow Hockey Moms - a dedicated group of volunteers who do amazing work supporting hockey in the area. We cannot speak more highly of the great work the Hockey Moms do and we recommend you check them out. This year the Whalers chose to donate to the Col...chester Guardian - a non-profit organization that supports the Canadian Coast Guard in keeping our waterways safe and rescuing those in need. For anyone who has been to the Colchester Harbour this year, you know it has become a high traffic area filled with boaters, swimmers, and people enjoying the beach. Each of us has family and friends that spend time on Lake Erie every summer. The Colchester Harbour is another part of what makes Harrow such a special community - and it’s crucial to keep the harbour and lake safe for everyone. We believe the Colchester Guardian provides an essential service to the area and we’re thrilled to help support the great work that they do. For more information on the Colchester Guardian, check them out at https://colchesterguardian.com The support of each person who comes by the dunk tank each year is what makes this possible. Not only do you help keep our hockey team going, but we try to put as much back into the community as we can - something we hope to ramp up even further next year. So come by the Harrow Fair next weekend - Labour Day Weekend - and find us at the dunk tank. You can have fun dunking a Whaler and help our team as well as local organizations that support our amazing community. #WeAreWhalers #WeAreHarrow

Whalers Fall Short in Playoffs: Harrow loses 5-4 to go out of Got Game 2019. With a number of injuries and fatigue setting in, Harrow dropped their round of 16 game to the Whalers by a score of 5-4. The game started off with tight checking and a number of key saves from Travis Smith. The tight checking soon turned into scrappiness with a number of penalties and scuffles highlighting the game. Another Brett Yantzi hat trick and a goal from Cody Leeming weren’t quite enough as... the Whalers killed off the clock to secure their win and move onto the Quarter Finals. The Harrow Whalers would like to thank everyone for the support back home. We look forward to getting back out there! 3 Stars: 1) Brett Yantzi (3G) 2) Cody Leeming (1G) 3) Cade Baldwin (1A) #WeAreWhalers
