I love DJ Khaled but this is literally the most BS BS (bullshit beliefsystem) I have ever heard.. Let me share to you my point of view As someone who moved around a lot from a young age - finally settling down in one spot at 13 yrs old (if you’re trying to do the math that’s the first year of high school :)..... My life was literally just about making NEW FRIENDS. That’s all I knew. The entire concept of friendship was pretty weird for me esp when trying to line it up to what people in this part of the world would call ‘typical’ childhood friendships.. I didn’t really have those? My friends in high school became the first long term ‘friends’ I’d ever had. These humans helped me realize my one new belief system: That in (my) life, there are only two types of friends. New friends & old friends There just aren’t any just friends Why? Because the FRIEND ZONE is in reality just like a relationship triage zone (in my world) .. It’s the zone in which you and i are when we first connect. We feel the love, share commonalities, enjoy each other’s company and feel called to continue building this ‘?ship’ further . After that (based on the evidence from all the current relationships in my life) you (and i) became any of the following: - family - soultribe - teammate - co-creator It’s fun when we get to the point of oscillating between them all , hehe. So that brings me to.. old friends ... the people with whom there is still love, shared commonalities, enjoyable company, but just noooot at all called to continue building any kind of ships with () THEY ARE NOT people I have been ‘FRIENDS’ with for a long time.. cuz that just means they never made it past my friend zone to build anything really useful OR necessary in my life (except maybe a lot of memorable experiencez, lol).. So now I’m curious.. What’s YOUR definition of friends? Have you always had a lot of them? Or very few? What defines a friendship apart from the rest of the relationships - to you? I’m asking out of true wonder because I do understand that I AM the one who knows less about this concept than most So, friends, teach me, I’m ready to learn

You’re right, @lifewithshweta - this IS me Amongst everything I’be been RE-learning this week (thanks to incurring my first concussion ever ) I’m glad that BEING MYSELF doesn’t have to be one of them.... A note on for no reason ... because some might say we do have reasons for that. To that I say why find reasons to hate when you can always find reasons to love (in that very same moment)?
