Here is a great follow-up to yesterday's post about the Windsor Regional Hospital's COVID-19 field hospital - including a tour of the facility. It's inspiring to once again see folks going above and beyond to provide extraordinary care for those who are sick or at risk. A BC-resident whose mother was recently admitted had this to say:... "After watching a livestream tour of the facility, however, Edwards said she now has 'nothing but positive thoughts' about the field hospital. "'Almost immediately I could not believe all the people that were involved in putting that facility together in such a short time,' she said. 'And when you watched the video you know right away that everybody did their very best to make this place a place where people like my mom can heal from COVID-19 and that they would be getting the very best medical care in, I think, the world in this very moment.'" Watch the video in the article - it's really quite something! #Covid19

Another story of one of our inspiring clients - Windsor Regional Hospital - and they amazing work they are doing during this difficult time. In this case, a field hospital has been opened to "help lighten the load at long-term care homes, a segment of the population hardest hit by COVID-19". From the story: ... "'We’re in a different facility that’s usually a gymnasium that’s been converted into a hospital. But I think, generally speaking, it’s going well,' (Chevalier) says. Windsor Regional Hospital has committed seven nurses for each 25 people admitted to the field hospital, along with a full complement of support staff, a pharmacy, housekeeping, a full time Chaplin, allied rehabilitation assistants, lab services, and a full-time dietary staff, according to Karen Riddell, the vice president of critical care at WRH. 'From a clinical perspective, we’re able to deliver the same level of care that we’ve been delivering at an acute care unit that we’ve been delivering at Met and Ouelette (campuses),' Riddell says." Please remember to thank our healthcare workers and keep them in your hearts, as they work on the front lines of this crisis. https://windsor.ctvnews.ca/dozens-of-patients-admitted-to-w

An important message from one of our clients, Markham Stouffville Hospital. Please watch, and remember all the hard, emotionally difficult work that is going on in hospitals around the country. Stay safe, stay respectful, and please, stay home as much as possible. To quote a MSH staff member: ... "When we hear about people [at] a big barbecue or something, it's almost an insult to what we've been doing because we are working so hard to get these people back to their families. "We're terrified of people letting up a little bit." That's why the team decided to let CBC News look inside their ICU. They thought if Canadians could see what they see, how the patients suffer, alone and how the staff put their own lives on the line to try to save them they might take the virus more seriously. https://www.cbc.ca/player/play/1727612483990/

The genius of John Cleese @JohnCleese I'm not advocating uncontrolled panicking. If you panic for more than a couple of hours, you will exhaust yourself and you... may well not have to energy to panic later, when you really feel you have to So try about 20 minutes panicking at 11.00 am, and then another spell at 6.00pm
